Since over 30 Years my highly esteemed and trusted project-partner and – with me – co-founder in October 1986 of the CENTRE MONTESSORI D'HAITI , Mrs. Carol Guy-James Barratt, Montessori-Directness from Trinidad, controls our Haiti project-finances, reports to me and to the members of our "Stiftungs-Vorstand" (Foundation-board) of the "Peter-Hesse-Stiftung" in Germany – especially to our European Montessori-board-members, the President and the Executive-Director of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) in Amsterdam, Netherland.
Under Carols leadership. the Haitian NGO, "Fondation-Peter-Hesse" has formed its own Haitian board who supervises and controls the teacher-training-center CENTRE MONTESSORI D'HAITI in Liancourt, Haiti, Artibonite, on land, which was purchased and rebuilt by the Peter-Hesse-Foundation after the January 2010-Earthquake in Haiti with donated funds from the German Peter-Hesse-Stiftung with active help of building-volunteers from a comprehensive training-institution in Kempen, NRW, Germany. They financed their travels to Haiti in groups of about 12 in their holidays twice in 2011 and in 2012 through donations
All funds collected in Germany in the Foundation-account of the Peter-Hesse "Mother-Foundation":

Yearly reports of the "Peter-Hesse-Stiftung" to our donors in Germany and to the state-authorities, who control German foundations are published under http://www.solidarity.org/de/finanzen-amtliches.html .
In Haiti, we use all funds for the yearly training of local Montessori teachers and to help our teacher-students to open Montessori preschools, mainly as "social businesses" all over Haiti for predominantly needy children – if they successfully have finished their training and if they are making visible efforts themselves. This reduces fraud and improves the best possible realization of our Foundation purpose, it also fulfills the desired effect of your donations, it provides deprived children a starting chance for their life.
Concerning needed financial support in Haiti and in the world:
What Haiti needs most in the field of educational are trained teachers on all levels – not only school-buildings. On the long run Haiti must become able to train and finance their own teachers. Until this becomes possible, we, the Peter-Hesse-Foundation, concentrate on training Montessori teachers. In a distant future our Foundation will make efforts to provide a chance for all children in the world to benefit from good quality early child-centered education through qualified teachers. Therefore, our newly reformulated foundation purpose consciously covers this wider need: "The purpose of the Peter-Hesse-Foundation is to contribute to a just and peaceful learning ONE world in diversity – with emphasis on providing children a chance through child-centered early education to enable life-long learning."
